The NHS blood pressure check service is designed to help with early detection and treatment of hypertension to help avoid serious health complications. Similar to a normal blood pressure test, our pharmacist will start by measuring your blood pressure.
Prescription Dispensing We can dispense NHS prescriptions and will give advice about your medicines
Repeat dispensing and eRD We can dispense NHS repeat dispensing prescriptions issued by your doctor. eRD is when your GP will authorize a set number of repeats per item so that you do not need to order from the GP surgery each time you require your medicines and instead can collect directly from the pharmacy
Discharge Medicines Service A service provided by community pharmacies to support patients who are being discharged from hospital. The aim of the service is to ensure that patients have a smooth transition from hospital care to home care, particularly with regard to their medications. It helps prevent medication errors, improves understanding of new medications, and promotes safe use after discharge.
Health advice & Self care We can help manage minor ailments and common conditions, by the provision of advice and where appropriate, the sale of medicines, including dealing with referrals from NHS 111.
Signposting to other services If you require additional advice and support from other health professionals, social services, or support organisations, our Pharmacy team can assist you by giving you their contact details.
Disposal of unwanted medication If you have out of date or unwanted medicines, both prescription or over the counter drugs, don’t bin them or flush them.
You can bring your unwanted or out of date medicines back to your pharmacy for safe disposal for FREE.
Each year enormous quantities of unused and expired medications are dumped into bins or flushed down toilets and sinks. The effects on the environment and human health are unclear but evidence is pointing to the presence of chemicals from prescriptions and over-the-counter medications in soil, drinking water and the surrounding environment. Just as proper medication administration is important, so is safe and cautious disposal.
EPS (Electronic Prescription Service) We are able to obtain your prescriptions electronically without the need for a paper copy. Simply ask your GP Surgery to nominate our pharmacy in order for your prescriptions to be transferred to us automatically.
Supervised consumption We can provide a supervised consumption service, usually in the private consultation room in the pharmacy.
Prescription delivery service We can deliver to housebound patients for free
New Medicine Service When you are prescribed a new medicine by your doctor our pharmacists can offer support and advice to ensure you take the new medication as prescribed without suffering any unwanted side effects or explain any further questions you may have. We usually do this by keeping in contact with you during the first 4 weeks of your new medicine being prescribed.

Minor Ailments Scheme We can supply medicines for common ailments to you on the NHS without you having to make an appointment to see your GP.

This is a free NHS services and does not need an appointment
